Performance-Conference – Portuguese University Theatre: A Poetics of Resistance

The Performance-Conference addresses key moments in Portuguese University Theatre and its relationship with the historical and political context, across three periods: during the Estado Novo dictatorship, its subsequent reconfiguration under full Democracy after the 25th of April 1974, and in the 21st century. Throughout the conference, the question is raised of what remains today — and what once was — of the poetics and the resistance found in contemporary university theatre.
